R&D Manager
Located in Silicon Valley, CA, this job offers an executive-level salary as compensation for the right individual.
We are seeking someone to lead the company’s fundamental applied research projects as part of our silicon/silane research group. Your responsibilities will include formulating the company R&D Roadmap, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining contact with relevant external research institutes, academia and other collaborators.
The successful candidate will have earned a PhD in physics, chemistry or chemical engineering or have equivalent experience, along with a specialization in thermodynamics, kinetics or analytics. You will have extensive experience with fundamental applied research and the proven ability to lead and develop the progress of a research team. Technical Services Manager
There’s (still) gold in them there hills! Our client is a major gold mining company with a worldwide presence. They are seeking a Technical Services Manager for their Round Mountain, NV operation, located just a few hours’ drive from Las Vegas or Reno.
In this role, you will work with senior management to align the Technical Services Division’s short-, medium- and long-term strategies with the company’s overall strategy. As part of managing a senior-level team, you will identify key performance goals, set performance targets and manage the overall performance of your direct reports.
You will also oversee the development of safety policies and procedures for the organization and assist in accident and incident investigations when necessary.
To succeed in this role, you will need 8-12 years’ experience in a Technical Services environment, to include firsthand knowledge of strategy planning and safety management, in addition to the proven ability to successfully manage and develop a team.
You should also have a 4-year degree in a relevant field and proven, practical knowledge of the mining industry to include:
- engineering techniques as they apply to ore body evaluation and mine operations
- mining and the integration of the mining, milling, and maintenance functions

Disilane Scientist/Engineer
How about an opportunity in the fast-growing field of renewable energy? This client is a leading, global player in the solar energy industry. They are seeking a well-rounded scientific or engineering professional to lead the efforts of their Silicon Division to understand and develop the disilane production process. You will conceive, plan, design and conduct experimental programs to produce new technologies and knowledge.
The successful candidate will also need strong interpersonal and leadership skills, as you will regularly act as Program Manager in leading projects. You will also
